Partner Manager, Technical Sales
As our Partner Manager, you will actively drive and manage the partner and the technical aspects of selling AMPLY Power’s EV charging solutions to prospects and customers.
This is a full-time role based in Los Angeles, CA.

Principal Engineer, Platform and Embedded Systems
This is one of the first key hires in Engineering and will have direct impact on AMPLY’s success.
As our Principal Engineer of Platform and Embedded Systems, you will test and validate 3rd party EV charging station hardware, ensure the interoperability and service SLA with both AMPLY’s cloud platform and the vehicle to charger communication, ensure communication between the charging station and the cloud is complies with specifications (CCS, OCPP), troubleshoot the latter if needed, and define AMPLY EV charger HW specifications. You will also be responsible for AMPLY’s technical charging depot design including local / micro-controllers needed on site. You will test, document and manage the various combinations of suppliers tied together via level2/3 charging protocols (CCS, OCPP, and others) while working closely with your development and operations colleagues, to ensure the industry’s highest availability and reliability.
Participate in and drive all aspects of the third party EVSE and vehicle OEM validation process with emphasis on end-to-end system validation, and > 99.5% availability, test and validate EVSE / embedded software modular system design including redundancy, reliability, failover, and automated recovery.
Define AMPLY EV standard charging station technical specification and integrations with third party EVSE platforms.
Design and develop depot technical architecture including AMPLY’s site / local controller embedded system.
Test and deploy the hardware / embedded SW integration part of the overall technical system architecture, with a view to achieve 99.5% end to end service availability.
Interoperability testing between AMPLY cloud platform, third party hardware and vehicle, based on (evolving) industry standards like OCPP, CCS, and others.
Validate specs by creating HW / system test fixtures, creating and managing (in production, throughout lifecycle) firmware configurations dedicated to cloud platform integrations.
You will bootstrap the setup of various EV charging station installations (lab first, later in field).
Regression testing of new firmware on existing cloud platform integrations.
Providing technical support on integration related questions coming from customers.
You will work closely with the software developers to set up the tools and infrastructure needed (CICD, testing).
Work in a continuous integration continuous development environment where you help maintain test driven discipline and enforce the ‘do not break the build rule’ right from the beginning, Establish and maintain continuous integration, continuous delivery pipelines.

5+ years of Embedded Software development experience.
3+ years HW and Firmware Specification and validation of low/medium voltage EV charging stations (EVSE).
5+ years of Embedded Software testing and validation experience in the EV industry, automotive or electrical industry.
Good knowledge of evolving level2/3 charging protocols, CCS / OCPP / CharIn, and preferably hands-on experience with vehicle to charger to cloud integration testing.
Knowledge on M2M communication standards and platforms.
Strong troubleshooting/analytical skills.
Proven skills in providing technical documentation.
Good programming skills, in Embedded C, C++, Linux and Python, experience with IoT frameworks.
Proven history of successful problem solving with strong sense of ownership and urgency.
Head of Business Operations
Primarily focus on AMPLY’s transaction structuring, financing and capital raising activities interfacing with capital providers and participants in capital markets.
Conduct research on sources of investor capital, design customized strategies to effectively target capital.
Prepare materials showcasing investment portfolio, strategies, and market outlook.
Develop deep expertise across investment verticals’ work cross-functionally to track and fulfill due diligence requests from investors.
Develop investment approach and financing strategies to drive AMPLY Power’s development and capital to fund projects.
Play lead role in project development, structuring, negotiation along with senior management, legal, accounting, and other stakeholders.
Undergraduate degree or master’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience in investment banking/capital markets, financial modeling, strategic planning, due diligence, and risk analysis.
Experience within the renewable energy industry strongly preferred.
Must be highly motivated, energetic and savvy with demonstrable success in previous endeavors.
Able to thrive in a fast paced, external facing role with excellent written and oral communication skills.

AMPLY is redefining the EV charging market for private and public fleets, including autonomous driving fleets, transit bus agencies, municipal and private fleets. We are building the next level of charging as a service, taking complete ownership and control of the charging infrastructure, the scheduling of the vehicles, the cloud platform and the utility meter – in order to provide the highest availability and resilience in the market. In a high-powered application like vehicle fast charging, the difference between controlled, optimally balanced vs unrestrained EV charging could be 3x in cost from your local utility. Even more importantly, EV fleets, in particular when part of critical and close to real time business processes (for example in autonomous fleets) need to be scheduled for charging in specific time intervals. By taking control of the utility meter, optimizing EV charge rate and vehicle process flow, AMPLY provides the lowest cost of electric fueling possible in a given depot location or in-route stops.
Our approach is to offer charging as a service, which is unique in the industry. We offer our customers a per mile driven usage rate. AMPLY provides the bulk of the upfront capital expenditures associated with the charging platform.
